August 1985 was the
beginning of the great adventure of Boutique Endurance. Phillipe Laheurte, the Canadian 5000m champion, was travelling in Europe, competing in various international meets. He was surprised to find himself dreaming of owning his own running store. It would be a place with personality, he thought, warm and inviting, where the avid runner could come to learn more about his favourite sport and where they could find knowledgeable staff who could help runners of all abilities.
Three other running-crazy friends, Laurent Godbout, Louis Caron and Jocelyne Beaulieu joined him in his dream. Only a few months later, in December 1985, Boutique Endurance opened its doors.
Years of successful running retail passed. Philippe left us through a tragic accident in 1991, but his passion and personality still anchored the day-to-day operations of Boutique Endurance. Pierre Léveillé, a member of the Canadian Olympic team at the Los Angeles games in the 400m hurdles, and Canadian champion of his discipline, took the baton with great success. For almost 25 years, Boutique Endurance has stayed true to Phillipe’s dream.
For running, walking, cross training, and certainly the best selection of running shoes in Montréal, Boutique Endurance quickly became the home for runners of all levels in Québec. Whatever your level, from beginners to the hardcore, you’ll always get off on the right foot with expert service from the staff at Boutique Endurance.
