[Kobe, Japan, August 17, 2026] – ASICS today unveils the RISE & SHINE™ COLLECTION, inspired by the energy, optimism, and mental well-being that comes from running at sunrise. In addition to new sunrise-inspired colorways for some of ASICS’ most iconic running shoes, the collection introduces the new SONICBLAST™ 2, designed to provide an even lighter, more energetic, and more responsive running experience.
Designed to support all types of runners, the RISE & SHINE™ COLLECTION brings together 8 iconic ASICS running shoe models, each reimagined in vibrant sunrise-inspired colorways. Rooted in the ritual of morning physical activity, the collection celebrates the positive impact that exercise can have on the body and mind.
Introducing the SONICBLAST™ 2
At the heart of the collection is the new SONICBLAST™ 2, the latest evolution of ASICS' dynamic super-shoe, designed to offer an even lighter, more energetic, and more responsive running experience. This new model incorporates a redesigned split ASTROPLATE™ – a technology exclusive to the SONICBLAST™ range within the BLAST family – which allows the FF TURBO™ SQUARED cushioning to expand further across the midsole to the "trampoline pod," for improved propulsion and a more energetic stride.
These enhancements are complemented by a dual-foam midsole combining FF TURBO™ SQUARED cushioning and FF BLAST™ MAX foam, for an energetic toe-off and a highly responsive stride. A new engineered mesh upper improves breathability and comfort, while the overall model weighs approximately 14 grams less than its predecessor, allowing runners to enjoy a lighter and more dynamic ride. *

Beyond the launch of the SONICBLAST™ 2 shoe, the RISE & SHINE™ COLLECTION applies its sunrise-inspired design language to a selection of ASICS’ most iconic running ranges, including the SUPERBLAST™ 3, MEGABLAST™, NOVABLAST™ 6, GEL-NIMBUS™ 28, GEL-CUMULUS™ 28, GEL-KAYANO™ 33, and GT-2000™ 15 models. Each model is reimagined in vibrant colorways inspired by the changing hues of the sunrise, celebrating the energy, optimism, and sense of possibility that movement can bring at the start of a new day.
