[Kobe, Japan, September 17, 2026] – ASICS today unveils the GEL-SLOWCUSH™, an all-new running shoe designed to offer a next-level comfort experience for easy runs. Developed to create a unique comfort experience, the GEL-SLOWCUSH™ helps runners free their body and mind through a softer, more relaxed running experience.
Designed to meet the needs of an ever-evolving community of runners, the GEL-SLOWCUSH™ shoe brings a new comfort-focused solution to the ASICS running range. Targeted at easy runs, recovery miles, and low-intensity training sessions, it helps runners recognize the growing importance of slowing down the pace, prioritizing recovery, and building consistency as part of a balanced training approach.
At the heart of the GEL-SLOWCUSH™ shoe is FF LUXE™ PLUS cushioning, a new foam technology engineered to provide an ultra-plush, cloud-like running experience. This is complemented by the launch of PureGEL™ PLUS technology, the latest evolution of ASICS’ renowned PureGEL™ cushioning technology. Designed to provide an even softer underfoot feel and improved shock absorption, PureGEL™ PLUS technology contributes to exceptionally cushioned and smooth ground strikes. Together, these technologies deliver the unique, plush running experience that characterizes the GEL-SLOWCUSH™ line.
